BUSUANGA/ CORON
"On the northeastern part of Palawan is the Calamian group of islands whose main islands are Busuanga, Coron, and Culion. A collection of picturesque islands each with a white sand beach, the islands actually sit atop vast coral reefs. This is why the Calamians are favored by many divers for their underwater adventures. Travelers should also grab the opportunity to see the islands by boat. North of Busuanga is Calauit, the country's sanctuary for wild African animals and rare endemic Philippine animals such as the bearcat and mousedeer. To get to the Calamians, a plane can be taken from Manila to Busuanga. Short land transfers then take visitors to the destination of their choice."
